All store personnel are undergoing testing this morning at a mobile clinic.

Ballito Junction Regional Mall will continue to allow selected stores to trade for the sale of essential items during the Covid-19 lockdown after an employee at Checkers tested positive for coronavirus.
CEO of Ballito Junction, Geraldine Jorgensen said the employee tested positive on Tuesday after experiencing flu-like symptoms.
“The employee is in self-isolation at home and is part of Checkers’ back-of-house receiving team,” said Jorgensen.
All store personnel are undergoing testing this morning at a mobile clinic.
Checkers is closed until further notice and is following the necessary health guidelines as laid out by the National Department of Health and National Institute for Communicable Diseases.
“We will advise the results of the testing and on Checkers’ subsequent trading as soon as this information is available.
“The outcome of the testing will determine the implementation of future protocol.
“We are sure you join us in sending very best wishes to all our Checkers staff as well as to the health officials undertaking the virus testing,” said Jorgensen.
“The health of our shoppers, tenants and staff at Ballito Junction is of critical importance, and each of us has a responsibility to support the national effort to flatten the curve and stop the virus from spreading.”
In the spirit of social well-being and specifically for the health of shoppers, all trading stores continue to follow these preventative measures and encourage you to do the same:
– Wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds.
– Use a hand sanitiser and let it dry on your hands.
– Avoid direct contact with others. Keep at least 1 metre distance.
– Avoid touching any surface. Continuously wipe surfaces with a suitable sanitiser effective against Covid-19.
– Cover your cough and sneeze with a flexed elbow or a tissue that is carefully disposed of straight away.
