Best of both worlds for beautician DJ Lelo

The Shayamoya resident who works in Ballito, can normally be seen behind the turn tables at night clubs around KwaDukuza, said she is planning to release the single on Facebook.

Beauty therapist by day and female disc jockey by night, Nomusa “DJ Lelo” Nzuza is using lockdown to work on her first soon to be released single.

The Shayamoya resident who works in Ballito, can normally be seen behind the turn tables at night clubs around KwaDukuza, said she is planning to release the single on Facebook.

“To keep myself in shape I will play live on Facebook so that my fans can be entertained during lockdown,” said Nzuza.

The mother of two boys started her music career in 2013, after she was inspired by Mandeni born DJ Cindo.

“I saw her playing at a municipal event and I asked her to teach me how to play and how to mix a song. Fortunately she agreed and I have never looked back. I really want to thank her for grooming me into being the DJ I am today.”

Nzuza said her inspiration comes from watching people dance to her mixes.

“Besides music, I enjoy making people look beautiful.”
