iLembe Chamber urges business community to remain vigilant

"I can assure you there is no need to stress the urgency of the situation - everybody understands the severity and need for strengthening our law enforcement," said Bradshaw.

President of the iLembe Chamber of Commerce, Lesa Bradshaw has urged members of the North Coast business community to remain vigilant and put measures in place to ensure the safety of their employees and property.

“We are in contact with provincial and key leadership. I can assure you there is no need to stress the urgency of the situation – everybody understands the severity and need for strengthening our law enforcement,” said Bradshaw.

The Chamber remains in communication with the Saps iLembe Cluster which said they are being kept up-to-date on the situation by Crime Intelligence.

“We would like to commend the Saps, law enforcement agencies and security companies for the way they are carrying out an impossible task.”

Bradshaw on behalf of the iLembe business community urged leadership, political bodies, community and otherwise to contribute constructively to minimise the impact on the Covid-19 pandemic-battered economy and investor reputation.
