Ballito mall working on a plan to reopen safely for sale of essentials
All shops in Ballito remain closed for now.
Ballito Junction marketing manager, Sashena Rampersad has confirmed that they are working on a plan of action to allow stores to reopen, but only for the sale of essential items.

This follows violent riots and looting action which saw all shops and centres between Ballito and Salt Rock close in fear of being targeted.
Mall management said they would be taking guidance from Ballito UIP – a meeting will follow with Saps, security and community leaders later today of which details will be shared once available.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused, but humbly request the communities to work with us in ensuring the safety of our customers, staff and tenants during this difficult time,” Rampersad said.
It was concluded that as soon as safety protocols have been put in place to allow for the safe opening of essential stores word would be shared.
