The state-owned utility provider shared that a unit each had been lost at Medupi, Duvha and Kendal power stations this morning, worsening the situation.

Too little generation capacity has forced Eskom to implement stage 2 loadshedding, from today at 2pm.

Loadshedding is set until Saturday morning at 5am.
