Miss Bachelorette finalist brings joy to Tongaat’s Haven of Rest

There was some excitement at the Tongaat Haven of Rest when Miss Bachelorette finalist, Priscilla Chamane, walked in with a donation cheque of R20 000 and groceries on Saturday.

She made a grand entrance with a Zulu dance group, who helped her carry the big load of groceries.

Chamane said when she entered Miss Bachelorette South Africa 2022, it was just a click of a button, but little did she know the fulfilment it would bring her, discovering that there is a project that aligned with her beliefs.

“I want to thank everyone who has and still is supporting me as the final is getting closer. Today, it was pure joy to see the faces of the women and children at Haven of Rest at the donation handover. I had collected donations from various sponsors helping my campaign in my duties as a finalist,” said Chamane.

The donation included 5 student bursaries worth R20 000.

“I chose Haven of Rest because born and raised in Tongaat as an orphan, they have always been a shelter that assisted and helped women and children in need.”
