No indication when power will be restored in Ballito
Ballito and surrounding areas have been left without power since 8.30am today owing to an as yet unidentified fault on the southern electrical grid.
The cause of a power outage on the Ballito southern grid remains unknown, with no indication at this stage when power will be restored to the area.
Ballito went dark this morning owing to an “unplanned fault” the KwaDukuza municipality said.
It is understood a number of areas surrounding Ballito are also without power.
Ballito councillor Tammy Colley said she was aware that technicians were patrolling power lines in search of the cause of the fault.
Ballito and surrounding areas have recently had a number of power failures, most frequently during evening hours.
