KwaDukuza beaches and tidal pools closed as huge waves lash coast [WATCH]

Beaches are expected to be closed for the next few days as waves continue to lash the coastline.

With a warning issued that beachside infrastructure could be damaged, all KwaDukuza beaches and tidal pools have been temporarily closed.

Severe wave conditions began battering the coast during the night, with debris washed up at several beaches.

The huge waves are expected to continue for the next two to three days, KwaDukuza lifeguard superintendent Bongani Xulu said.

“It’s just not safe to go to any of the beaches at the moment. We are advising everyone to stay off beaches for the time being,” he said.

No injuries have been reported as yet.
