Zimbali Rotary Club’s annual Christmas tree sale offers convenience for locals

You can find a tree to suit the space you have available with sizes ranging from 1.2m to 3m tall at a cost of R230 to R700.

Michael Bublé and Mariah Carey’s return to the airwaves can only mean one thing – it’s time to set up your Christmas tree!

Luckily for locals, the Rotary Club of Zimbali’s annual Christmas Tree sale is back to make that an easy process.

The club has pitched a temporary tent next to the Quarter Ballito shopping centre and will be open daily until December 18, or until stocks run out.

“We have been very busy so far with this first delivery of trees,” said club president, Kosh Thaver.

“These initiatives would not be possible without support and we thank the community for their continued backing.”

The trees on offer are all Cypress trees grown by Overdale Nursery in Gillitts.

You can find a tree to suit the space you have available and sizes range from 1.2m to 3m tall at a cost of R230 to R700.

A reusable bucket and stand are sold separately at R50 and R200 respectively.

“The nice thing about the extra items is that you will only need to buy them once, which makes the next tree you buy even more cost effective,” said Thaver.

All funds raised from the sales go directly back into community projects that Zimbali Rotary supports.

The tent is open on weekdays from 9am-4.30pm and on weekends from 8.30am-3pm.
