All Souls Anglican Church hosts Women’s World Day of Prayer service
The focus on peace was particularly poignant this year as the global organisers for 2024 were Palestinian Christians, shedding light on the importance of unity and reconciliation in times of conflict.
Women from across the North Coast gathered in prayer last Friday, uniting in a mission to spread peace.
In conjunction with the Women’s World Day of Prayer, about 100 ladies from diverse churches across the North Coast gathered for a service at All Souls Anglican Church.

The ecumenical event is hosted annually on the last Friday in March and is organised by a different denomination from a new country or region each year.
Peace proved a particularly resonant topic this time around, given the global organisers for 2024 were Palestinian Christians.

The closing prayer was based on Ephesians 4:12 and called for people “to bear with one another in love” to free us from human conflict and disunity.
As part of the event, donations were gathered for the South African office of the Women’s World Day of Prayer, which raised R80 000 for charities last year.
