Ballito’s Salt40 Foundation pedals towards progress with new clubhouse
Fifteen Groutville teenagers have been selected to take part in the new SALT Kids campaign at Holla Trails
Ballito’s Salt40 Foundation now has a permanent home from which to inspire the next generation of cyclists.
The non-profit organisation recently launched their clubhouse at the Cane Driving Range, which will also be the home base for their new SALT Kids campaign.
Salt40 selected 15 Groutville teenagers for the campaign, which will instill lasting life skills while also giving the group an opportunity to ride at Holla Trails.

Exercise has been one of the core tenets of Salt40 since it first launched during the pandemic with a container full of donated bicycles from the USA.
All of Salt40’s outreach is youth focused and has a widespread footprint across the North Coast after first piloting their projects in Ndwedwe.
The foundation has been based at a few locations since launching, but can now finally boast a home of their own, which will no doubt help to streamline current and future projects.

The clubhouse was sponsored by Phaltco Civils, while the Cane Driving Range provided land and Holla Trails the space on which SALT Kids will learn to cycle.
Salt40 thanked all sponsors who came on board for the launch and for the various campaigns it has run over the past two years.

It is a registered section 18A foundation.
