A first inside look at Club Med’s Tinley Manor resort
Guests will enjoy luxury stays at both the Tinley Manor resort and a private Big 5 game lodge near Pongola.
As the two North Coast Club Med resorts enter their final months of construction, developers are sharing a sneak peek of what guests will soon enjoy.
Billed as Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari, the two options include the main 345-room coastal resort at Tinley Manor, which houses 310 Superior and 35 Deluxe rooms, and the private Mpilo Safari Lodge, with 75 tented rooms in a Big 5 reserve near Pongola.
The Tinley Manor resort also offers a further 66 luxury suites with personalised service and private lounge and pool access. These sectional title units – all sold – are individually owned but can only be used for 28 days of the year. The rest of the time they will be rented out.

During their stay, Club Med guests will have access to a series of family-friendly restaurants, play-zones, relaxation areas, sports facilities and daily activities.
Guests who spend time at Mpilo Safari Lodge – which is only available as an optional add-on for those who have booked at the coastal resort – will also have the chance to go on game drives.
On the activity front, biking trails, padel courts, archery, yoga classes and flying trapeze rigs will all be available, as will a dedicated surf school for adults and children aged six and up – an international first for Club Med.
