New clubhouse launch marks next step for Zimbali Lakes
The clubhouse includes the Big Easy Winebar and Grill alongside golf-related amenities.
Zimbali Lakes marked a major development milestone with the opening of its new clubhouse and lifestyle facilities on April 21.
More than 200 guests attended the opening. The clubhouse features a fully equipped gym, a 25m training pool, a golf shop, premium locker rooms and multiple leisure spaces.
Guests enjoyed a curated selection from the Big Easy Winebar & Grill by Ernie Els menu, with live music and light shows enhancing the atmosphere. The arrival experience included luxury supercars, with champagne and oysters served at sunset.

Supercars and superbikes added to the launch spectacle, with guests given a close-up look at high-performance machines including a Bentley Continental GT, Mercedes-Benz SLS and Ferrari 488 Spider.
The showcase, hosted with Race! South Africa, highlighted plans for the upcoming Avanti Residences and Tatali Society Club – set to become KwaZulu-Natal’s first supercar-focused development, featuring a temperature-controlled showroom and secure vehicle vault.
The evening also introduced the ‘Chase the Ace’ attraction, where guests attempted a hole-in-one from the clubhouse entrance onto a green set over a water hazard, raising funds for charity.

A floating green version of the competition launches in June, offering R1-millon to the first successful player.
A Stellenbosch Wine Route experience presented premium wines and champagne, alongside sculptures and artworks created for the clubhouse.
The ribbon cutting was led by KwaDukuza mayor Siduduzo Gumede, IFA Hotels & Resorts non-executive director Vusumusi Nkosi and CEO Werner Burger.

“The clubhouse represents far more than a new facility – it’s the heart of a vision brought to life,” said Burger, adding that it strengthens Zimbali Lakes’ position as a premier coastal lifestyle and golf destination.
The Big Easy Winebar & Grill offers South African-inspired dishes paired with Stellenbosch wines and opens to the public on Mother’s Day, May 10.
