A winning start for Crawford

Great sport results early in the term for Crawford Prep.

Fresh from the holidays, the Crawford Preparatory North Coast pupils are full of energy and achieving great things in the new term.

On the Karate mat, James Beningfield and George Leonard were awarded best performance for the term and received the floating trophy from Sensei Brando at the Future Champs Karate Academy termly grading.

The cricket boys Jarred Booysen, Kyle O’ Brien, Connor Steward and Nicholas Kuhn made their school proud when they were selected for the Tongaat schools U13 cricket district team.

They will be attending selection for the Tonver team, which comprises of the Tongaat, Phoenix and Verulam areas.

If they are succesful, they will compete in the KZN cricket week later this year.

There was much excitement at last week’s cross country competition and all grades ran as fast as they could to make it across the finish line first.

Nicholas Kuhn was the overall grade seven boys’ winner and Jessica Aylward was the overall grade seven girls’ winner.

All in all it has been an eventful first few weeks and this is only the beginning of the new term.
