Trinityhouse reach for a dream

Children and staff support Slipper Day.

On Friday, August 7, Trinityhouse Palm Lakes children and staff supported the Reach for a Dream Slipper Day fundraiser.

Everyone paid R10 to wear their slippers to school for the day, which allowed all present to learn and teach in comfort.

Slipper day also coincided with the pre-primary ‘pyjama day’, as the theme for the week was ‘Space’ or ‘Day and Night’.

The pre-primary children and teachers came to school dressed in their pyjamas and brought along their favourite bedtime toy and a torch to learn more about the differences between day and night.

Teachers and pupils could not decide who enjoyed wearing their pyjamas to school more, with the pre-primary principal, Carolyn Slabbert commenting that she could get used to more “casual Fridays” like these.
