Pedal power for Dolphin Coast Pre-Primary

The little one can finally get back on their bikes at school.

It has been a long time coming, but the children at Dolphin Coast Pre-Primary finally have a brand new cycle track to ride and enjoy in the school yard.

The cycling track was officially launched last Wednesday, August 26.

Principal Jenny Keegan said they used to have a fabulous cycling track for the children many years ago.

“As Ballito started to grow, we simply had to expand because we could not accomodate all the children. So we had to build classrooms where the old cycle track used to be,” said Keegan.

Dolphin Coast Pre-Primary now boasts 130 pupils at the school, who will now have access to the new cycle track.

There was some space in the school yard which could get quite muddy when it rained that was the perfect location to rebuild.

“It has been a long time coming, but we are so happy the kids can get back on their bikes,” said Keegan.

After the children sang a few songs, the governing body’s Sandy Pauw cut the tape to open the track and Chapman Building’s Rodney Docking, who was the project manager, rode an inuagural lap on his skateboard for the excited little ones.
