Bugging out at Crawford

Pupils learn more about the natural habitat.

The Grade 000 children at Crawford North Coast Pre-Primary enjoyed a fun-filled bus ride to Westbrook beach last week as they set out in search of all things bright and beautiful.

Amidst happy chatter and loud singing, the children spotted monkeys and birds, and relished in the beauty of the picturesque sea. The journey of fun continued on arrival back at school as the children began their long-awaited bug hunt.

The children came to school equipped with magnifying glasses, bug boxes and other bug catching devices to add to the adventure of their exploration.

The little scientists followed a beautiful forest path and made the most of the prospect to search for ants, beetles, butterflies and other creepy-crawlies. This experience provided the perfect opportunity to learn more about the natural habitat and habits of the bugs that were discovered along the scenic walk.
