Finding your Zulu roots

The school trip gave the pupils a chance to experience the rich African culture and learn about the history of the Zulu people

A bus-load of 34 excited Trinityhouse Palm Lakes’ isiZulu pupils recently made their way to PheZulu Safari Park in Botha’s Hill for a cultural flashback.

The trip gave the pupils a chance to experience the rich African culture and learn about the history of the Zulu people, coupled with the breathtakingly beautiful scenery surrounding PheZulu.

After the history lesson, the pupils went to the Snake Park, where those who were brave enough were allowed to hold a snake and place it around their shoulders, while the rest stood around screaming hysterically, including some of the boys.

Nomfundo Gumede and the snake even had a little dance.
