A new era has begun at Crawford

The process of identifying the 2017/2018 Student Executive leader group has been concluded.

The Crawford College North Coast democratic process of identifying the 2017/2018 Student Executive leader group has been concluded.

The process sees aspirant executives promoting their leadership abilities to the student body by means of posters and interview sessions, as they focus on the key areas of student life, namely academic, culture, community service, sport, student affairs and marketing.

This is then followed by voting day, and then the eleven newly elected executives attend an induction ceremony where they pledged themselves to the school.

The school congratulates Adéle Botha and Junior Muoe who were voted as the 2017/2018 Judiciary and to the rest of the executives: Jessica Broom, Ismaeel Ismail, Karley Lotz, Simlindile Mfolozi, Revania Naidoo, Kelly Olivier, Sharon Sarmento, Dhiresh Thakor Vallabh and Michael Waberski.

The Executive Pledge reads as follows:

“We, the 2017/2018 Student Executive Council of Crawford College North Coast, acknowledge the trust and responsibility placed in us by our peers in electing us to the position of the Student Executive.

“We commit ourselves to living and promoting the values we all share in the Crawford community: respect, individuality and creativity.

“We pledge to represent the interests of the students of this College with empathy and dedication.

“We promise to contribute towards the school spirit and manage the portfolios of student activities assigned to us with enthusiasm and commitment.

“We realise that we will be ambassadors of our College and we resolve to fulfil this role with honour.

“We pledge ourselves to these ideals in the best interests of you, the students and staff of our College.”
