WATCH: Majozi making magic at Umhlali Prep

Majozi made a surprise visit to the school recently.

Umhlali Preparatory School pupils were treated to an unforgettable assembly last week as famous local musician Majozi performed his hit song “Darling” with the talented Umhlali Beaters.

Majozi made a surprise visit to the school recently, after pupil Olwethu Ntshangase, who is also a member of the Umhlali Beaters, arranged to have him sing along with her fellow peers.

Olwethu is part of the Hearts that Hope Children’s Home family, and a big fan of Majozi.

Kent VanderYacht, who launched the children’s home in 2012, said that when the musician lived locally he played a big role in supporting the Hearts that Hope family.

Senior music teacher Marie Ackerman said she was blown away when he walked through the door.

“The children were speechless when he arrived,” said Marie.

“He is such a lovely, humble man. I am now such a fan.”
