Ilembe cricket team returns undefeated

Their coach, Sandile Masondo of Umhlali Preparatory School said he was over the moon with the boys' performance.

Ilembe under 11 team recently returned undefeated at the KZN trials, scoring 905 runs and took 56 wickets.

They defeated Durban Invitational by eight wickets, Pinetown Pumas by nine wickets, Pinetown Panthers by 68 runs, Durban Central Eagles by two wickets, RPC by 145 runs and Umdoni by 50 runs.

Their coach, Sandile Masondo of Umhlali Preparatory School said he was over the moon with the boys’ performance.

He said he was expecting many of the boys to make the final round of the selections in which two teams will be selected to attend the national week in December.
