Ashton International College is thrilled to announce the outstanding performance of its Class of 2024, who collectively achieved 120 A’s, culminating in a 70.5% overall class average.
Head of Senior College, Belinda Boucher, praised the students’ dedication and resilience:
“We are delighted with the outstanding results our students achieved. They are to be commended on their commitment and level of application in their final year. These results are reflective of the partnership between the school, parents, and the students. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and their ability to rise above any challenges they faced along the way.”
Among the class of 70 students, each candidate averaged 1.71 distinctions, further highlighting the group’s collective success. In addition, several subjects earned an ‘A’ average, including IsiZulu First Additional Language, Dramatic Arts, and Visual Arts.
Ashton’s top three IEB matriculants, Cassidy de Grooth (3rd), Caitlin Pansegrouw (1st) and Aarti Datharam (2nd).

In total, 51% of the cohort secured a ‘B’ average and above, with 90% achieving a ‘C’ average and above—a reflection of Ashton Ballito’s commitment to holistic education. Boucher emphasized the school’s dedication to nurturing students beyond academics:
