This morning, no less than six taxis were being washed on the M4 opposite Lifestyle, all washing with water streaming down the road. Water from where?
It is a tragedy to see what is becoming of our beloved Ballito.
Driving into Ballito, one is immediately attracted to the derelict building (obviously being stripped at a dizzy rate!) next to Autozone, an eyesore and a total embarassment opposite the upmarket Ashton School.
On the right, close to the robots, streetlights burning 24/7 for months, if not for the last year! And a little further up, the wash bay for taxis and, straight ahead, a taxi rank that needs no comment . . except inconceivable that it is deemed a taxi rank that provides no seating/proper ablution/ or shelter from the elements for the people.
Very soon, Ballito will proudly boast a new multi-million rand shopping centre. Something wrong somewhere!
