Beauty Review: Beautywithin at Ballito Lifestyle Centre

Cindy Brand is no stranger to Ballito and with 18 years experience she certainly knows her way around a facial.

For me there are two key ingredients to a successful beauty salon: the products they use and, most importantly, the therapists themselves. The décor and location add a lot to the experience, but nothing beats experience.

It’s the therapists we go back for, not the décor.

Beautywithin is the new salon inside East Coast Pharmacy at the Ballito Lifestyle centre.

The set-up is simple with a single treatment room, but Cindy Brand is no stranger to Ballito and with 18 years experience she certainly knows her way around a facial.

I spent two amazing hours with Cindy recently for her Environ luxury facial and Spa Pedicure.

Cindy swears by Environ products, a popular South African brand that boasts the inclusion of Vitamin A, C, AHA’s and antioxidants.

Cindy Brand has been a beauty therapist for 18 years.

Environ believes that by using vitamin A, the skin can be restored and brought back to its most healthy looking and beautiful state.

Cindy’s Environ luxury facial includes a brow wax and shape, a thick rubberized hydrating mask, a facial massage, neck and shoulder massage, hand massage, foot massage and ends off with a relaxing scalp massage. So basically, the works.

The Spa Pedicure includes a leg and foot exfoliation, soak, removal of dead skin on heels, a foot mask, cuticle care, and lastly a relaxing foot massage followed by a fresh coat of paint.

This combination was perfect for me as I struggle with rough heels that often crack because as a busy mom I don’t have time to look after them.

Cindy’s hands are gifted at massage too so I felt well and truly pampered by the end.

  • Cost: Environ luxury facial plus Spa Pedi: R490 (December/Jan special offer)
  • Contact: Cindy at 060 918 8489.
