When a situation is exploited to feed one’s insatiable desire for money without an inkling of empathy for the infected and dying, then humankind needs to be extremely worried.In what seems to be a public relations exercise, the president has put in place an inter-ministerial committee to unravel fraud and corruption related to the Covid tenders.
This seems highly irregular as the members are conflicted, as they are reviewing their own work.
One cannot be a player and a referee in the same match.
What is needed is an independent investigation which includes civil society organisations and public watchdogs.
The incessant looting, plundering, mismanagement and malfeasance associated with the money belonging to the citizens of country needs to come to an end.
