Letter: Check your water meters

"Trust me, I had to fork out and if you have the spare change lying around by all means do that, however you will also incur unnecessary water loss as this is not deemed an emergency on the part of the service provider as the leak is beyond their supply point and they will get there at their earliest convenience, while your plumber's cost also climbs by the hour."- Simon Scott.

Simon Scott of Ballito writes:

I would like to recommend that all residents investigate and make sure that they all have isolation valves on their side of the water meter.

This will help them save on unnecessary call out fees (as this is the responsibility of property owners).

Trust me, I had to fork out and if you have the spare change lying around by all means do that, however you will also incur unnecessary water loss as this is not deemed an emergency on the part of the service provider as the leak is beyond their supply point and they will get there at their earliest convenience, while your plumber’s cost also climbs by the hour.
