Covid-19 has taken away many lives, some close and some very close loved ones.
Sometimes it is very scary to answer your phone (Who now?).
The passing away of IFP Councillor Jabulani Sibiya, a friend I’ve known and respected and was very close to, came as a shock.
Cllr Sibiya was a rock of Lindelani, a person loved by many who came into contact with him.
Ever since I knew him, I found him to be a gentle giant who was humble, caring and selfless.
He was a true soldier of the people, a thinker who would ask or answer questions thoughtfully.
Our political membership did not affect our friendship.
Cllr Sibiya was a man who would give you his last drop of blood to defend or protect you once he knew you.
His passing is not only a loss to his family but also to his friends and the people of Lindelani and the IFP.
Lindelani was Sibiya and Sibiya was Lindelani.
Right now, it will be difficult for someone to fill in his boots. He gave his blood, sweat and his whole life to the IFP.
The Baobab tree has fallen.
Go well brother, we will miss you in our gatherings, during our conversations, and the time we shared, but you will always remain in our heart as our hero.
