Letter: Tired of complaining

"Residents are constantly calling me, saying they have laid complaints but they are not attended to promptly" - DA PR Cllr Melissa Vembali.

DA PR Councillor Melissa Vembali writes:

Darnall was known to be a sweet sugar cane town, the residents were happy to go to work, take a walk to the shop, sit outside their homes, but now they are living in fear.

This is due to a number of street lights that are not working.

Motorists have to be alert at all times for potholes at night.

The number of robberies we are experiencing is total nonsense.

The street lights must be fixed.

Sewer overflows are the worst.

Residents are constantly calling me, saying they have laid complaints but they are not attended to promptly.

Darnall needs a total upgrade. It’s too late when our residents decide to leave our beautiful community.

God Bless South Africa.
