Letter: An unequal society

"South Africa is the first country in the world where a prisoner became president and a president became prisoner, an unequal society where all are not equal before the law and corruption goes unpunished" - Nelson Puckree.

Nelson Puckree of KwaDukuza writes:

South Africa is the first country in the world where a prisoner became president and a president became prisoner, an unequal society where all are not equal before the law and corruption goes unpunished.

The looting in KwaDukuza was terrifying and clearly exposed the weakness of law enforcement agencies, crime prevention, private security and police force that failed to protect a small town with 6 streets.

I must commend the residents who came out in numbers to defend and protect our streets from the criminals.

As for the first citizen, the mayor, she failed to lead from the front.

Shame on her, in my opinion she is a good candidate for a sari queen contest.

This thuggery and free shopping was organised to use the poor, unemployed and the weak to test South Africa’s security and defence capabilities.

South Africa failed in this department because of incompetent ministers of state security, defence and police.

I am surprised by some statements by political analyst that poverty, unemployment and inequality were the cause.

I disagree. I believe the cause is over-population, uncontrolled borders, poor quality education and criminality.

Educate children at school about over-population and the impact on future generations, otherwise, this country is doomed.

At least this time race, apartheid and white monopoly capitalist were not blamed for this anarchy and chaos.
