On February 13 on my way home in the afternoon, I experienced something that made me ashamed of the human race.
There was a boy on the side of the road with blood all over his head after being involved in a bicycle accident.
I rushed down to him and his friend to determine what had happened, and it turned out he had to swerve off the road to get out of the way of a vehicle and suffered severe head and lower pelvic injuries.
IPSS were incredible with their quick response to attend to the young man, but what shocked me was how few people stopped to offer this boy help.

In fact, a woman even hooted at me and some of his friends who had congregated around him because she was in such a rush to get to wherever it was she needed to go to.
The boy was taken to Stanger Hospital, where his mom was able to meet him and they later in the day sent me photos of his injuries.
They were really severe and without going into much detail, the doctor was actually very concerned.
After 2 nights in hospital he was discharged.
His mother told me he said no one before me would stop for him and he could not even stand up and walk because of his injuries.
What if this was your child? I urge people to display a bit of patience and care and be aware of what is going on around them at all times.
