#Letter: Street children add to litter problem

These boys come at night and scatter the litter all over. One can't hold the municipality entirely responsible for this behaviour.

Stanger resident Ismail Asmal writes:
I resumed my mythical weight loss walk regime a few weeks ago and am enjoying the morning breeze and some of the sights and sounds that Stanger has to offer.

Alas, not all of what I experience is palatable. Every morning is the same. Waste bins are overturned by street children looking for some sustenance.

My point is that these bins are filled with refuse and garbage at the end of the day in neatly tied bin bags.

These boys come at night and scatter the litter all over. One can’t hold the municipality entirely responsible for this behaviour.

These boys must be rounded up and sent back home to their villages.
The municipality must come at night to collect the garbage, thus preventing these boys from tearing the bin bags and tossing filth around.
