Inaugural tournament for young golf masters comes to Royal Durban Golf Club

The tournament will cater for boys, girls and handicapped golfers in nine divisions, with many prizes on offer for winners and those who do not finish among the medals.

The inaugural KwaZulu-Natal Junior Golf Masters tournament will showcase the best in local under-18 golf talent next month.

To be held at the Royal Durban GC on October 6, the organisers from Central Durban GC invite any prospective golfers aged between six and 18 to prove their talent and skill.

The tournament will cater for boys, girls and handicapped golfers in nine divisions, with many prizes on offer for winners and those who do not finish among the medals.

“The entry fee is R250 per player, which includes green fees, goody bags, halfway house and snacks at prizegiving.

The tournament has already attracted 50 competitors and we are expecting a full field of 100,” said tournament convener, Deena Govender.

First tee off is 6.45am on the day.
