Muddy madness hits Ballito
The inaugural North Coast event was clearly long-anticipated given the massive turnout, with a seemingly endless stream of entrants arriving in batches throughout the morning.

Hundreds of women from across KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) took over Oaklands Equestrian Estate on Sunday as the Muddy Princess series made its first stop on the North Coast.
Warriors, divas, superwomen and, of course, princesses, arrived throughout the morning in a variety of themed costumes, ready to take on the 5km obstacle course.

Rain over the weekend and a sunny Sunday created perfect conditions, ensuring everyone who completed the 22 obstacles was suitably mud-caked upon completion.
The hugely popular women-only event has toured the country since its inception in Cape Town in 2016, bringing women of all fitness levels together for a challenge with no competitive aspect.

Drawing young girls, their grandmothers and everyone in between, the course was designed to be demanding but never insurmountable, with fun as the main objective.

Next up in the series is Stellenbosch on December 4, with Giba Gorge identified as the next host in KZN on May 28, 2023.
Muddy Princess thanked title sponsors Suzuki, charity partners, The Pink Drive and national sponsors Mitchum, Pickfords, Sir Fruit and Switch Energy Drinks.
