Junior Dolphins rugby back on the menu

If your son would like to get involved, there is still plenty of time before the action begins in full.

The Ballito Dolphins junior rugby stars are back in action, having kicked off their pre-season training last week.

Youngsters aged 6-11 have rejoined the ranks after a highly successful season in 2022 during which the U7 squad went unbeaten and U9s lost just one game.

It will be a run of form the group will try to continue when the season starts in full during the second school term.

Once the season has begun, there will be matches every Sunday at locations across Durban, ensuring the players always have a chance to compete and grow their rugby skills.

Until then, the Dolphins will train every Friday at the Ashton International College sports campus at 5.30pm.

“It goes without saying that everyone is welcome. We have a highly dedicated team of coaches, all of whom are accredited with the World Rugby Board, which means your boys are in good hands,” said Dolphins chairman, Mark Svenningsen.

“This is a massive year for rugby with the Boks going to defend the Word Cup. There’s no better way to get into the spirit than growing the next generation of Siyas and Dwaynes.”

If your son would like to get involved, there is still plenty of time before the action begins in full.
