Creating sport pathways for KwaDukuza youth

The sport day aims to try and unearth the next generation of superstars.

Twenty-eight soccer and netball teams dusted off their boots and tekkies for a chance at district glory in KwaDukuza recently.

The U13 pupils from schools across KwaDukuza faced off in a sports day hosted by Stanger Build it at Stanger High School.

It was held as part of a pledge from Stanger Build it to try and unearth the next generation of sport superstars in South Africa.

Mgqwabagqwaba Primary’s goal shooter Alwandle Luthuli rescues a loose ball to set up a shot at goal.

“We feel it is important to give back,” said Stanger Build it co-owner, Ravin Rampersadh.

“Twenty years back a stand-out soccer player emerged at one of these days and he went on to play for and work with AmaZulu. That is what we are trying to help achieve.”
