Event co-ordinator Dane Garvie said the series was about more than competition.
“It was a celebration of the outdoors, community spirit and the natural environment that makes Blythedale a popular trail-running destination,” he said.

Garvie said it was encouraging to see the camaraderie among participants throughout the morning.
“There were families and friends supporting one another along the route, and even a few four-legged companions joining in on the adventure.”

He thanked runners, supporters, volunteers, Grumpy’s and Funky Pants for helping make the event a success.
The trail running series returns to Blythedale in September.
