South Coast racing extravaganza today

Adding more adrenaline to the final championship for 2016, competitors will be racing for double points.

It’s visors down and pulses racing for the final challenge of the KZN Road Racing Club’s 2016 Club Championship at Dezzi Raceway, Shelly Beach/Port Shepstone today, Saturday 8 October.

Between the motorcycles and cars there will be 12 different classes racing on the twisty, demanding circuit. Racing is expected to be fierce with the current leaders pushing hard to hold the challengers at bay.

Adding more adrenaline to the final championship for 2016, competitors will be racing for double points.

Teams who may hold a comfortable lead will have to keep on the gas to keep the midfield competitors at bay.

Breakfast Class: 1st Jarred Stowe; 2nd Franco Antoro; 3rd Trevor Stuart-Steer

Extreme Breakfast Class: 1st Malcolm Rudman; 2nd Juan De Wit; 3rd Luan Van Zyl

Superbikes: 1st: Wyatt Avis; 2nd Malcolm Rudman; 3rd Blaze Baker

Cars

OPEN Wheels: 1st Chris Woolley; 2nd Dave Rabie; 3rd Rob Mordaunt

Tin Tops A: 1st Ronald Van Rensburg; 2nd Elton Fuchs; 3rd Clinton Bezuidenhout

RACING starts at 9.30am after qualifying laps. Tickets are on sale at the gate at R80 for adults, R50 for teens/pensioners and children under 12 are free.
