Hamptons Anniversary

Happy 10 year Birthday to our wonderful students, parents, teachers and staff! What an exceptional experience it has been thus far!
From Small Beginnings.
Hamptons Primary School was founded by the Meyer Education Group. Hamptons opened its doors on the 19th of January 2012 with two Grade 1 classes.
The school now boasts a total of 20 classrooms, 5 properties, 35 staff members, 300 learners and an undying love for educating young minds. This year we have celebrated our 10 year birthday and we believe our success is due to the excellent education that is provided as well as the family orientated environment of our school.

At Hamptons Primary School we pride ourselves in the wide variety of experiences offered to add to our student’s school life. We believe that happy students want to learn! We feel that balance is important for a successful school experience and we have a rich after school programme that include cultural, educational and sports activities. We have done incredibly well at the KZN Dance festivals winning a multitude of medals over the last few years.
We teach compassion for others and food drives for Mandela Day, Winter Warmer and our Make a Difference Campaign, are only a few of the ways we help our community and those less fortunate than us.Hamptons Primary School is going from strength to strength and we are so proud of our confident and happy learners who always give their best.
A Hamptons child is a happy child...
At Hamptons Primary School we believe in the balance between exercise and education. As a result of this we have incorporated an array of sports into our curriculum that the children do during school hours.
During the summer months (Term 1 and 4), the children do swimming and in the winter months (Term 2 and 3), they have a choice between hockey, soccer or netball. We offer athletics, physical education and cricket or dancing all year round. Our coaches and dance teacher works closely with our teachers to ensure a balanced and well-rounded experience for the children.
Computer classes are an integral part of the curriculum where the children learn important computer skills. Children are exposed to the basic functioning of a computer as well as introduced to programmes such as Word and Excel.
Hamptons Primary School also offers Zulu lessons to those children that are interested in learning an additional language. Zulu is taught by our very own Miss Mtomba on a Monday afternoon. We offer both beginner and intermediate classes.
The extra-mural activities offered (at an additional cost) are Karate and Hip-Hop Dancing. Both of them take take place on the school property after school

OUR HISTORY
Hamptons Primary School was founded by Sarah Tryon and the Meyer family. It forms part of a group of sister schools.
At Hamptons Primary School we see ourselves as a family, so we see ourselves as part of the greater family of the new South Africa to which we all belong, regardless of any individual differences of any sort. We seek for all the same happy co-existence that we seek for ourselves and we pride ourselves in the wide variety of cultures, religions, ethnicities and nationalities of learners in our school.
