Family calls for witnesses after tragic crash
Family of Greenwood Park father-of-two Niki Faurie-Williams appeal for eyewitnesses after fatal Chris Hani Road crash.
THE family of Greenwood Park resident Niki Faurie-Williams are still reeling in shock following his death a little over a week ago.
Faurie-Williams died in a crash on Chris Hani Road (North Coast Road) last Tuesday (February 17).
Paramedics from KZNVIP responded to the collision between a bakkie and a bike, the 35-year-old was driving.
Despite extensive resuscitation efforts by medical teams, the local resident succumbed to his injuries.

His aunt, Colleen Smerdon, described Faurie-Williams, a father of two, as adventurous and full of life.
“We are still in shock and in a state of disbelief. We’ve been surrounded by the love from the community as well as his friends and family.
“We always knew he was special, but seeing how many people came to his funeral and sent us messages has been so touching. He lived life large, Niki loved the ocean, diving and paddle skiing. His absence is so loud,” she said.
The family are calling on eyewitnesses or businesses who may have CCTV footage of the incident which occurred between 07:00 and 07:10.

“We are calling for eyewitnesses or any dash-cam footage available of the accident to come forward as a way to provide closure to the family,” she said.
