Durban North police station closed for fumigation
Residents will only be able to access basic services at the station and are encouraged to visit the uMhlanga satellite station.
THE Durban North police station will be closed today (February 27) due to the building being fumigated.
Station spokesperson Sergeant Nonhlanhla Shozi said a mobile Community Service Centre (CSC) will be set up outside the station to assist the public.

“We wanted residents to know that certain services won’t be available because of the station closure, including firearm documentation, exhibits and fingerprint services. There will be a mobile CSC which will be able to service the community based outside the station but again services may be limited,” she said.
Shozi also urged residents, who are able, to visit the uMhlanga satellite station on Autumn Drive to open cases.
Last year from August 1 the satellite station transitioned to 24-hour operations, replacing the 07:30 to 16:00 schedule implemented at the time.
