Biker injured in Northway crash

CRISIS Medical Paramedics responded to a collision between a motorbike and

car on Northway, Durban North at 3pm on Tuesday 6 August.

The paramedics immediately assessed the occupants of the vehicle and bike. It was established that no one from the vehicle was injured.

The motorcyclist, however, was found about 20 metres from the bike with serious injuries. It is thought he suffered suspected broken bones and a spinal injury.

Once he was stabilised and fully immobilised, he was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

At this stage it is unknown what caused the bike and car to collide, but SAPS will investigate further.
