Mother and two daughters face armed robbers
A mother and her two children were held up in the Avoca home when three men robbed their home last week.
A MOTHER and her two daughters were severely traumatised after falling victim to an armed robbery in Avoca on 26 August.
According to Greenwood Park SAPS spokesman, Lt Elvis Naidoo, three men wearing balaclavas, one who was armed, stormed their home in Victor Road after using a crowbar to open the front door to the house. The robbers stole a flat screen TV, two iPads, two laptops and jewellery.
The police tried tracking the robbers via the iPads, but lost the signal at Nandi Drive.
Lt Naidoo said it is believed the robbers either threw away the iPads or switched them off.
“We hope to make an arrest soon,” Lt Naidoo said.
He cautioned people to lock their gates, secure their homes and to report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.
