Beware of Eskom scam
A Durban North residents sends a warning about another Eskom scam making the rounds.
DURBAN North resident, Marian Immerman, has warned other residents of another Eskom scam making the rounds.
Immerman said she received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Eskom on Tuesday 22 October.
“The person on the phone asked if I would participate in a renewable energy survey at 4pm the next day,” she said.
She said the person asked her to have a copy of her utility bill on hand.
“I knew something wasn’t right, so I call the Eskom offices in Westville and spoke to a man in the marketing department.
“He told me there currently was no survey being done about renewable energy,” Immerman added.
