Traps are needed to curb speedsters
The way these morons fly up and down Danville Avenue, has to be seen to be believed.

EDITOR – I am pleased Chartwell Drive will have speed bumps, but I think the very many speedsters in Durban will just take another route.
Unfortunately Danville Avenue being a bus route, does not have any traffic calming measures. The way these morons fly up and down Danville Avenue, has to be seen to be believed.
Some cars hurtle two abreast from Newport Avenue, into Danville avenue, trying to overtake each other, with no consideration whatsoever, despite the fact that there is a school, pedestrians, monkeys crossing, and buses and taxis stopping frequently.
There have been two incidences that I know of, of vehicles smashing through walls (mine being one of them); this car narrowly missed schoolgirls waiting at the bus-stop on the verge.
I just cannot understand the psyches of these maniacs who insist on speeding in residential areas. I have stopped taking my dogs for a walk in Danville Avenue, because it is too dangerous.
If the cops wish to fill their Christmas coffers how about a few speed traps which used to occur many years ago, they will fill them in a day.
