uMhlanga water skier Travis Fisher calls on residents to support an upcoming invitational competition at Bird Valley Estate.

THE 4Everdeck, Dockpro invitational water skiing competition takes place on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 January at Satellite Dam on the Bird Valley Estate.

Skiers from around the country will be participating and cash prizes for any South African Record broken, skiers with the highest score and also the most improved skier up for grabs. Jan Johnson, Jared Fisher, Richard Levy are just some of the top names to mention.

uMhlanga’s aquatic star and organisor, Travis Fisher, said there will be a big contingent of KZN skiers at the competition.

“Your support is needed. The tournament is recognized by the European and African Water Ski Council allowing skiers to rank on an international basis which is fantastic,” he said.

He added the tournament consists of four rounds of slalom water skiing and two rounds of trick skiing. Entrance is free
