Scores injured in Somerset Park crash

A STAGGERING 19 people were injured when three busses and a taxi collided along uMhlanga Rocks Drive near Somerset Park on Thursday 16 January at about 5pm.

Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain a subject of a police investigation.

Netcare 911, Crisis Medical and other paramedics arrived at the scene and found some passengers still trapped in the wreckages. After triaging the injured, paramedics found that all the passengers had sustained injuries ranging from serious to minor.

Once the people were removed from the vehicles and stabilised, paramedics transported them to various hospitals in the area.
