Taxi and bakkie crash in Ridgeside
Nine people were injured when a bakkie and taxi collided in Ridgeside.

CRISIS Medical paramedics responded to reports of a collision on Ridgeside Road on Thursday 16 January at about 2pm.
First to arrive on scene, Crisis Medical paramedics found the road way obstructed by a taxi and a bakkie that collided. The passengers of both vehicles were assessed and it was established that nine people had been injured, one seriously.
Advanced Life Support paramedics were called to assist with the critical patient. Once the injured were stablised on scene, they were transported to various local hospitals.
It is believed that one of the drivers skipped a traffic light causing the vehicles to collide with one another.
Local SAPS and Metro Police were on scene to determine the exact cause of the accident.
