Little things can save your life
Greenwood Park SAPS warns residents of a recent crime spike and urges residents to be proactive in the fight against crime.

HOUSE robberies in the Greenwood Park policing precinct area are soaring. That’s according to a spokesman for the station, Lt Elvis Naidoo who today said despite having increased patrols, crime was still rampant. He urged residents to beef up their security to ensure that they don’t fall prey to criminals.
“While we’ve increased patrols and crime blitzes, we cannot be in more than one place at once. We therefore need the community to inform us of what’s happening in the area, to be alert and to take caution when going about their daily activities,” he said.
He also stressed the importance of not drawing cash late at night: “If you suspect you are being followed, drive to the nearest police station or public area.”
He cautioned residents to pay attention to suspicious looking people around their area and to make sure that all car windows and doors are locked. “As simple as it may seem, these little things can save your life,” Lt Naidoo said.
