Man left fighting his life after N2 accident

Man suffers traumatic brain injuries in N2 accident.

A MAN believed to be in his thirties is in a critical condition and fighting for his life after a collision between two vehicles on the N2 north bound near to Queen Nandi Drive this afternoon.

Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen said the man had suffered traumatic brain injuries.

“Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilize the man before he was placed on to a mechanical ventilator to assist him in breathing.

“He was transported by ambulance to Umhlanga Hospital for the immediate specialist care he required,” he said.

Traffic was severely affected as the roadway remained closed while emergency services cleared the scene.
