A BIKER was seriously injured after an accident at the intersection of Broadway (Swapo) and Gleneagles Drive on Sunday afternoon. According to Netcare 911 spokesman, Chris Botha, the incident occurred at about 3.46pm.

“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the bike had slid along the ground and wedged partially under the side of the vehicle, the rider had sustained serious injuries. Paramedics stabilised the man at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital.

“Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation,” he said.
